Triangle Business Journal recognizes Welcome Group at No. 18 on its 2026 list

DURHAM, NC – October 28, 2026 – Welcome Group has been ranked No. 18 on Triangle Business Journal’s 2026 list of the Triangle’s largest commercial real estate developers, recognizing the company’s development activity in North Carolina’s Raleigh-Durham region.

The ranking is based on total commercial square footage developed locally from 2021 through 2025. Welcome Group developed 394,800 square feet of warehouse space during that period, with Welcome Venture Park in Durham identified among its significant local developments.

This year’s list includes 22 companies that collectively developed nearly 25 million square feet of commercial space across the Triangle over the five-year period. Information was supplied by participating firms through surveys conducted by Triangle Business Journal.

The recognition highlights Welcome Group’s presence in North Carolina as part of its broader investment across Texas and the Southeast. Through the development, acquisition and long-term ownership of industrial facilities, the company provides space for manufacturing, laboratory, warehouse and distribution operations.
