Cody Smith serves as Chief Financial Officer of Welcome Group and is responsible for the firm’s financial strategy and operations, including accounting and controls, financial planning and analysis, treasury, and tax. He partners with executive leadership on capital allocation, enterprise planning, and long-term growth initiatives.

Smith brings more than two decades of financial leadership experience across private equity-backed businesses. He leads capital planning, financial structuring, and reporting across the platform, supporting both development and acquisition activity. He has led finance functions through periods of growth and transformation and has significant experience in mergers and acquisitions, complex partnerships, and capital structuring.

Prior to joining Welcome Group, Smith served as Chief Financial Officer for several companies across the pharmaceutical, distribution, financial technology, and oilfield services sectors. Earlier in his career, he was Vice President of M&A at Consolidated Graphics and a Senior Manager in the audit practice at Arthur Andersen. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University and a Master of Business Administration from Texas A&M University.
